Fearrington
is more than a subdivision, it is a community and a lifestyle. Spanning
over 1100 acres of lush green woodlands, parks and grazing fields
for the Belted Galloway cows, Fearrington is a living environment
that is completely unique in the Triangle!
The
restored barn and silo from the 18th century provide the perfect
backdrop for the entrance to the neighborhood, evoking an immediate
sense of serenity. The village shops surround the 30-room Fearrington
House Inn and Restaurant, a Five-Star bed and breakfast that
is renowned the world over. The charming village center features
the Fearrington grocery, a garden shop and gift store, bookstore,
the Cafe and Deli, a beauty salon, a bank, and several other shops
as well! The Farmers
Market comes to town every week from May through November.
The
perennial gardens at Fearrington are a highlight of the village,
and spill over into the lovely landscaping of the 17-acre Camden
Park, located in the heart of the Village featuring creeks, waterfalls
and two ponds. What a wonderful place to spend an afternoon! The
Fearrington
Swim and Croquet Club for swimming, water aerobics and year-round
croquet is also available to residents.
With
over 1800 residents of all ages, there is so much to do right in
the heart of Fearrington! Residents of Fearrington may enjoy over
50 different clubs
and organizations, featuring interests of all types including
political groups, bridge clubs, religious organizations, biking
club, and book groups to name just a few. The
Fearrington Writers Group offers residents an opportunity to
share information and support. Other events
